Biography

One of America’s most widely published travel writers, peripatetic writer/broadcaster Jonathan Siskin specializes in covering cruises as well as domestic and international destinations for leisure and business travelers. A former associate editor at Travel Holiday magazine and a senior editor at American Holiday & Life, Siskin has sailed on more than 100 ships from the mammoth mega-ships to the smallest expedition vessels. Over the past 15 years he has visited most major ports worldwide on voyages across the seven seas from Alaska and the North Atlantic to the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the Indian Ocean, the South Pacific and across the Drake Passage to Antarctica.

His articles have appeared in leading consumer magazines including Travel & Leisure and Travel Holiday and been syndicated in newspapers from coast to coast, while his radio reports on travel have been broadcast worldwide over Armed Forces Radio Network. He also has contributed to several guidebooks on cruising including “Fodor’s Bet Cruises”, “Frommer’s Cruise Guide to the Caribbean” and Frommer’s Cruise Guide to Europe.”
