Biography

Cameron M. Burns
Australian-born and raised, Cameron M. Burns is an award-winning writer, photographer, designer, communications, and publishing specialist. Burns received a bachelor\'s degree in environmental design from the University of Colorado, and has done graduate work in environmental management at Harvard. He has authored, co-authored, edited, and contributed to twenty-four books, and thousands of magazine, newspaper, and journal articles, and has won twenty-nine national and regional awards for his writing, including the North American Association of Travel Journalists\' 2002 \"Book of the Year\" award. His 2004 Postcards from the Trailer Park: The Secret Lives of Climbers, was a finalist in the 2004 Banff Mountain Book Festival and World Mountaineering, which Burns coauthored, won the Festival\'s Grand Prize in 1998.
He has traveled in and written extensively about hundreds of places in Australia, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Peru, Agrentina, the United Kingdom, Spain, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, India, Nepal, and Hong Kong.
