Media Application
Media Member dues are $150 per year, plus a one-time $25 administration fee. Dues are billed annually from the initial date and month of membership and must be paid in US equivalency.
Associate Application
Associate Member dues are $500 per year. By joining, you will have immediate access to NATJA's media members and services.
Requirements for Membership
Media
Membership in NATJA is a professional privilege. An applicant must be a legitimate working travel journalist or a travel industry PR professional.
Journalists are required to submit 10 print or internet clips, photographs or broadcast tapes from within the last 12 month period. All qualifying clips must be from paid outlets. No self-published clips, books or podcasts are accepted.
Authors who have written one travel book published by a traditional publisher within the last three years are also eligible for membership. POD titles with verified sales of over 5,000 copies are also eligible.
Staff writers or editors of eligible publications automatically qualify for membership.
Due to the changing nature of the industry, we realize there may be some unique situations. These exceptions will be addressed on a case-by-case basis by the NATJA advisory board.
Associate
Membership in NATJA is open to all travel industry professionals.
Current NATJA Associates include convention & visitors bureaus, hotels and resorts, airlines, restaurants, food industry and growers associations, wineries and wine associations, PR agencies, and marketing and public relations professionals.
